Random Acts of Kindness

Kindness is a compassionate action that puts others' needs before one's own.  Social psychologist, Barbara Fredrickson concluded through her research that random acts of kindness promotes an interconnectedness  fostering selflessness, alleviating depression and increasing hopefulness.  She has shown that acts of kindness releases neurochemicals such as dopamine and oxytocin improving mental and physical wellness.

It's fitting that national Random Acts of Kindness Day and Week are in February since that's Bria's birthday and angel anniversary month!  Bria was reported by others to have been a kind person.  She loved the feeling of bringing joy to peoples' lives.  Each year, we promote this time by finding ways to spread kindness in Colorado and teaching our youth to promote a culture of kindness.  Join the movement this year!
